An Enhanced Sliding Mode Speed Control for Induction Motor Drives

In this paper, an enhanced Integral Sliding Mode Control (ISMC) for mechanical speed of Induction Motor (IM) is presented and experimentally validated. The design the proposed controller has been done in d-q synchronous reference frame indirect Field Oriented (FOC). Global asymptotic tracking presence model uncertainties load torque variations guaranteed by using ISMC surface. Moreover, provides a faster convergence rate compared to conventional Proportional methods, it eliminates steady-state error. Furthermore, chattering phenomenon reduced switching sigmoid function. stability under parameter disturbances provided Lyapunov theory. Finally, performance control method verified through numerical simulations experimental tests, getting fast dynamics good robustness IM drives.
